Desert Rose

Somewhere in the desert, there is

A rose, hiding under the burning sun.

Those who walk the sand, tirelessly,

May see it, resting its petals.

Somewhere in the desert, there lies

My rose, waiting for us brave souls,

Who still look for roses

In the sand.

Some have seen it, they say, just

A rose, lost in the vast bed of

Salt. And those fortunate ones know,

There’s no other rose alike.

Continue walking in the desert,

I must, until I find my rose, for she

Waits for me, just like the sun,

Just like the sand.

Somewhere in the desert, there is

A rose, awaiting my steps.

Somewhere in the desert, there is

A rose, there is life.
