A William IV Style Library Desk
This is a wonderful piece of furniture, designed for the library or office, with 12 shelves for books, 4 on the front and back, and 2 on each end, all below incised drawers with wood pulls, the drawers at the front of the desk are functioning, those on the back and sides are false. The top front of the desk slight shaped, the top back straight, to allow for use against the wall if preferred, but designed for use in the middle of a room. Tooled leather top, fluting and a turned leg, terminating with brass cup casters, add decorative elements to this fruit wood desk or writing table.
