Egyptian Style, Art Deco Occasional Table or Drink Stand
The discovery of King Tutankhamen’s tomb in 1922 had a profound effect on the style of the 1920s and 30s. The Paris exhibition of 1925 is considered the birth place of Art Deco and the belongings of King Tut were the major influence. This rare and important walnut Egyptian Revival occasional table is a stylized version of one found in the kings tomb, complete with a hieroglyphs panel on the top. One of our many tables!
