D.C. Grose Oil Painting

Dreamy antique oil painting on canvas of an amazing Indian palace at sunset complete with pergolas, onion domes and statuary sitting on a lake. This scene is filled with lazy action in the form of boats and pedestrians among palm trees and paths all set against a mountainous background. Signed by Canadian-American Artist D.C. Grose who is among the Hudson River School Painters. Grose took a trip around the world in 1881 to 1884, which is no doubt when this was painted. Framed in the original museum quality frame with signature plaque also signed lightly on painting.
