Art Class on Cape Cod Naked Ladies, Oil on Canvas Pointillism Painting

A typical New England summer art class, set in front of Cape Cod antique houses, on a grassy field, a classic summer scene, unusual in that the art class is conducted in the au naturel. Signed by George Durant and dated ’52, this is not a subject matter normally associated with the early 1950’s. A wonderful study of female shapes, sizes and ages, the painting has the allure and romance of a warm summer’s day. Original silver gilt frame.
