Antique English Hand Painted Lacquered Tray Table
Impressive antique English tray table with a lacquered paper mâché tray painted with a landscape depicting a shepard and his flock in the countryside with an alluring sepia tone technique. The bottom of the tray has a custom tag certifying the age and embossed “Illidge”, possibly Thomas Henry Illidge, who painted landscapes early in his career. The later regency style base has faux bamboo legs and a cross stretcher.
