Antique Orientalist India Landscape Oil Painting by Daniel C. Grose

Fine Orientalist style 19th century oil painting on canvas by noted British artist Daniel C. Grose, depicting an expansive Indian landscape with exotic palms, figures, tranquil waterways, distant mountains, and richly detailed architecture. The ambitious composition is beautifully rendered with atmospheric light and remarkable architectural and landscape detail. Signed and dated D.C. Grose, 1888. Presented in an ornate giltwood frame. The canvas has been professionally relined. As seen in the last photo of the listing, a similar painting is also available.
