Striking oil paintings on board of reclining nude women, one in a classical setting with a lyre, titled L’EUROPE and the other of a woman under a red umbrella with pomegranates in a woodland setting, titled L’ASIE and signed Skilling in the lower right. Both executed in a distinctive Victorian parlor painting style with contrived aging, and presented in burled wood and gilt frames. Priced individually.
