Antique Pair of Cyprus Engraved Gourds
Cyprus has a long history of gourd art, they were used to carry water and wine, here are two 19th century prime examples of the art form hand engraved with geometrics, animals, ships, clocks and flowers then colored with molten charcoal and oil.
