After Summer Rain
After the rain had ceased,
And the clouds parted ways,
A form floating in the sky moved
The sun, with its usual bravery,
Reappeared above us,
As we looked up to try to recognized
The object floating above.
A capiz turtle shell revealed itself
To us, levitating in the summer day,
Creating a spectacle in the
Something new after a Florida rain,
Always something new after the Florida
Sky opens up.
A shape flying over us,
A capiz shell floating, just for us.
The Florida August afternoon spectacle,
For those who wait for the rain to stop.
