Shapes from the Sea

Out of the sea, two shapes emerge,

Covered with seashells and songs

Of yesterday.

They float first, then they levitate,

As their forms become more defined,

And their colors more alive.

They move in front of our eyes,

And show us they are alive, just like

Yesterday, and the day before that.

Light glides from their bodies,

A bright familiar light. Our eyes

Follow them, side to side.

Out of the sea, two shapes emerge.

Two old familiar shapes,

Bringing back their light.
